Dr. Isaacson graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston College with a degree in Biochemistry and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He went on to Tufts University School of Medicine, where he received his medical doctorate in 1991 and was chosen to become a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Isaacson completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, the two main teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School, and served as the Administrative Chief Resident. He is currently on the faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine as well as the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Isaacson moved to Phoenix in 1995, where he began practicing general obstetrics and gynecology. In 2004, he decided to devote himself full-time to providing abortion care both in Arizona and Nevada and has been one of the owners of Birth Control Care Center since 2007. He is a tireless advocate for reproductive freedom and has been the plaintiff in numerous legal actions challenging unconstitutional abortion restrictions. He participates in teaching medical students and resident physicians in clinical settings and in lectures.
